Designers often prefer to run multiple simulations to explore the best solution within a design space in order to meet client specifications. PZFlex is very well suited to carrying out such design studies given its ability to deliver high performance designs in short timescales. In combination with our PZFlex Cloud service, models can be simulated in batches or in parallel to provide a large dataset in minutes.

The example design study evaluates 2 transducer variables: matching layer thickness and acoustic impedance. The performance metrics used to determine the optimised solution were: TVR at 400 kHz, electrical bandwidth and electromechanical efficiency. 506 models were run simultaneously on the cloud to create the full dataset for analysis within 20 minutes.
