Full Matrix Capture & Total Focusing Method

The advantage of using a time domain code allows real world experiments to be simulated like for like. Coupled with our highly efficient mechanical solvers allows Full Matrix Capture (FMC) to be carried out in simulation which then can be post-processed using the Total Focusing Method (TFM) to generate the resultant fully focused inspection images. PZFlex offers a wide range of outputs to support our clients preferred post processing tool.

The inspection of the calibration block demonstrates the validity and feasibility of PZFlex simulations. The additional example of the inspection of an anisotropic weld further explores the real world uses of PZFlex in NDE applications.
